The Three Words of Writing
Dharmesh Shah over at OnStartups.com recently posted startup advice in exactly three words. I loved it. So, here’s my version of it, for business writing*:
- “Good enough” isn’t
- Romance the details
- Don’t trust yourself
- Collaborate, collaborate, collaborate
- Know your customers
- Remember your customers
- Use the product
- Try new technologies
- Explore new territory
- Always be clear
- Always have fun
- Make it beautiful
- Keep it true
- Get enough sleep
- Know the rules
- Follow the rules
- Break the rules
- Use small words
- Use few words
- Stay on target
- Nobody likes boring
- Invest in others
